What Is The Best Way To Get Across The Country One-way By Car(rental, Etc)?

I want to travel across the US by car with a friend. We are going one-way and won’t need to return. Can we rent a car or minivan from a rental agency for this purpose?

Check the Yellow Pages for Drive Away company’s that would drive a vehicle for ie: Senior Citizen 6 month vacation to the West Coast but can’t handle Driving any great distance. Also Delivering New School Buses . Just a Thought

Yes, you can rent a car in one city and return it to the same rental agency in another city.
    This won’t be cheap.
A cheaper way to go across the country is with a Greyhound bus ticket.

if you phone a rental company and ask them if they have a rental company at the final destination,i think you can rent a car, hope your friend is doing all the driving.enjoy the view.

i drove from Atlanta to San Jose by using a service called Auto Driveaway. They transport cars for people by hiring others to drive them. It costs less to the client and you get a free car to drive. Sometimes they have PAID me to drive the vehicle. WooHoo!! They are in all the big and some of the medium size cities in North America. Hope that helps.
